Need for Speed Rivals (Russian Thirst for Speed Rivals) is a video game of the Need for Speed series in the arcade auto-simulator genre developed by Ghost Games studio and published by Electronic Arts for gaming consoles and personal computers in 2013.
The project is a racing arcade combining elements of the previous parts of the series – high-speed races on the motorways chases and the opportunity to play as a rider and for a policeman. All competitions in the game take place in the area of the fictional Redview County. One of the key features of the project is the AllDrive network racing technology which combines single joint and group races and according to the developers “blurs the line between single and network game”.
The game was developed by the Ghost Games studio. The team made a decision to develop Rivals on the Frostbite 3 engine and create a modern technology for the online game AllDrive. The new game includes the experience of the previous parts of the series such as High Stakes and Hot Pursuit 2010. Need for Speed Rivals was mostly appreciated by the gaming press praising graphics and music as well as AllDrive’s network mode but some elements of the gameplay were criticized

AllDrive is a system that appeared in Need for Speed Rivals replacing Autolog which was present in previous games of the series. The system blurs the line between single and multiplayer games. Allows you to freely enter the world in which your friends are already participating in races and chases.
Users of the Xbox One can enjoy the gameplay of a single game mode without a permanent internet connection.
Players can modify several of their cars each of which is offered a set of colors vinyl license plates wheels and parts.
